M. David Skiles joined The Vectre Corporation in September 2012. Previously, he worked for a D.C.-based government affairs firm, where he managed a diverse group of issues.

Skiles' involvement in political and civic activities has allowed him to build relationships with elected officials and business leaders in Northern Virginia. He has worked on a number of federal, state, and local political campaigns.

Skiles is a member of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Board of Directors and as treasurer for the Political Action Committee (NOVABizPAC). He has also been a member of the Chamber's Policy Committee.

In 2018, Skiles was appointed by former Speaker M. Kirkland Cox to serve as a Commissioner on the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission representing the House of Delegates. Skiles served from 2018-2020. In 2022, Skiles returned to the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission as an appointee of Speaker C. Todd Gilbert again representing the House of Delegates on this regional transportation authority.

Skiles has also served on a variety of boards and commissions. In 2013, Skiles was appointed by former Governor Robert F. McDonnell to an unexpired term on the Board of the Library of Virginia and in 2014 was reappointed to a full five-year term on the Board by Governor Terry McAuliffe. Skiles served as Chairman of the Library Board from 2017-2018.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Skiles is a graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pennsylvania. He is also a graduate of George Mason University, where he majored in Government & International politics and the University of Virginia's Sorensen Political Leaders Program.

In his spare time, Skiles enjoys golfing. He is a member at Army Navy Country Club, where Skiles serves as Chairman of the Membership Committee and a member of the Club’s Board of Governors. He resides in Alexandria, Virginia and is a parishioner at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Old Town.
